Park Ridge Golf Course

Park Ridge Golf Course!!

Park Ridge Golf Course is a public golf course in West Palm Beach.  Its a good golf course and is very unique because its not a course that you would expect to be in South Florida.  It has different terrain and there are many blind shots and up and down shots that make the course different than the usual courses that are here in Florida. This course is a good golf course and has a good practice facility where you are able to hit balls on the driving range and has a cool putting green and a nice chipping area with a lot of undulation in the greens. If you want to play a golf course and you are in the mood of getting out of the ordinary South Florida golf then Park Ridge is definitely the place to go. So hop in your car and take a drive 25 minutes up 95 and you will see Park Ridge Golf Course on your right hand side.

LPGA tour Q School

LPGA TOUR Q SCHOOL!!!!

This week is LPGA tour Q School where all of the best women golfers in the world are competiting to see who plays full time on next years LPGA tour.  This is a huge tournaments for women because with the women tour not being as well recognized as the men's tour, the ladies need to make it on a tour where they earn the higgest amount per check.  A lady from my home county named Angela Oh from Mapleshade, NJ is playing in this years Q school and thru 2 rounds of play she is in tied for 15th place.  I have played high school golf with her growing up and during the winter time we both practice at the same driving range as one another.  I wish her the best of luck and hopefully a girl who I know well will make it through and onto the LPGA tour full time.

Follow the LPGA q school and watch Angela Oh on the road to getting her tour card:

President's Cup!!!

USA vs. International

This is one of the most exciting golf event to watch where the best players in the United States of America play against the best International players excluding Europe.  This year there was a lot of discussion on whether or not Tiger Woods should be picked to be a part of the team but lately there has been some players who think that he was a good pick but some think he was a bad pick.  Tiger Woods is Tiger Woods..he is the greatest player to ever step foot on this planet so of course I think Tiger should be picked.  These next couple of matches should be very interesting and we will find out how Tiger will play with all of this pressure that is being put on him.

Follow all the matches!!!!

Tight Golf Course

Cypress Creek Country Club

Tight golf course which made sure that you hit the driver straight and made sure you hit good golf shots.  I really enjoyed playing this golf course because since i have a golf tournament coming up it was important for me to get my game in shape so that I would play well when it was tournament time.  This course was in good shape and only cost $34.00 on a weekend which is a great price to pay.  Anytime you can play a course on a weekend for under $50.00 you found a great price.  The course had a driving range which was in good shape as well so if you want to just go and hit balls its a nice course to practice at.

TIGER MAKING HEADLINES

TIGER WOODS IN AUSTRALIA!!!

This week Tiger Woods is in Australia playing in the Emirates Australian Open and is a week that Tiger needs to play well so it can give him some good confidence going into the President's Cup that is going to be taken place next week.  I am very excited to watch this tournament.  Golf is very interesting and fun to watch when Tiger plays because he brings so much excitement to the game of golf.  After 2 rounds of competitive golf Tiger Woods has shot 68 and 67 and is in very good shape going into the weekend.  All of you should tune into the Golf Channel on channel 36 on local cable to follow Tiger tomorrow night where coverage will start at 8 tomorrow night.

Doral Country Club

Doral Country Club- The Blue Monster

WOW!!!! Whenever you step foot on a golf course where they play PGA tour events you are always amazed at the course.  This golf course was awesome, and believe it or not the course is a public golf course.  It is located in Doral, Florida which is right outside Miami.  Its pretty cool because while you play there you see so many airplanes flying right over your head and they are so low coming in.  This course wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be but it was a really good golf course to play at.  I hope that I can have the opportunity to go back and play again at the Blue Monster.  Overall, the course was a great golf course and a very good place to treat myself and play at a beautiful resort known as DORAL!!!

Lake Worth Golf

Atlantis Country Club

Atlantis Country Club is located in Atlantis, Florida which is about 20 minutes north of Boca.  This is a very nice golf course where they are having a local tournament for all professionals and amateurs in this area.  The tournament will be held next thursday and is going to be a good field of golf pros who are aspiring to be tour players.  This golf course is a nice golf course but when you drive to the course you feel like you are never going to find it because it is behind a hospital and you feel like you are going in the middle of nowhere.  Hopefully I will be able to put together a good score when I play this course next week so that I can play well in this tournament.
